9. A grocery store sells two sizes of brown sugar.

• A 500-g bag costs $2.20.
• A 2-kg bag costs $5.65.
Which bag is the better buy? How do you know?

Bag A:
rate=(220cents)/(500g) =44cents/g

Bag B:
rate=(565cents)/(2,000g) =.28cents/g

The bag of two kilograms is the better buy because it has a better unit rate and you get more for less.

Hope this helps, now you know the answer and how to do it. HAVE A BLESSED AND WONDERFUL DAY! As well as a great rest of Black History Month! :-)
