A - Total commission = €3,000

B - Money from seller = €2,000

B - Money from buyer = €1,000

Explanation:

- The estate agent gets 2% commission of the value of the property sold.

- The buyer pays 1/3 of the value of the commission.

-The seller pays the rest which is 2/3 of the value of the commission

Now, the property was sold for € 150,000.

Therefore, the 2% charge for the agent will be 2% x €150,000 = €3,000

A third of that from the buyer is ;

1/3 x €3,000 = €1,000

While the rest which is two-thirds from the seller will be; 2/3 x €3,000 = €2,000
