Given:

Diameter of the wheel = 50 feet

Time taken for one revolution = 2 minutes

To Find:

speed and how far will you travel in 5 minutes

Solution:

The distance travelled in 1 revolution = circumference of the circle

The distance travelled in 1 revolution =
2 \pi r

The Distance travelled in 1 revolution =
2 (\pi) (50) =
100 \pi = 314.15 feet

Speed =
(distance)/(time) =
(314.15)/(2) = 157.0 feet/minute

In 2 minutes the wheel will travel = 314.15 feet

So in one minutes the wheel travel =
(314.15)/(2)

In one minutes the wheel travel = 157.0 feet

In 5 minutes, the wheel will travel =
157.0 * 5 = 785.39 feet/minute
