Which statement indicates the impact of globalization on the African farming community? Agriculture is the major occupation for the majority of the people in an African village. However, due to (irregular, scant rainfall), the farmers are incurring huge losses, as many crops are destroyed due to the lack of water. This farming community also (lacks access to fertilizers and hybrid seeds) to improve the production of the existing crops. On the other hand, the village is (endowed with good quality soil), which is suitable for growing many crops. An international agro-processing firm wants to set their unit near this village due to easy and cheap availability of labor. Therefore, they (provide these farmers modern irrigation facilities, fertilizers, and hybrid seeds). Use of these modern methods leads to an increase in crop production.

I'm not positive but this one sounds like the best impact to me. I could be wrong.

Answer: Use of modern methods of farming increased the crop production of the people

Explanation: Despite the challenges faced by African farmers, they are blessed with a very suitable type of soil, which was supported by the modern irrigation practice, fertilizers and hybrid seeds provided by the international agro processing firm who set up their firm near the village in a bid to get easy and cheap labour. The effect of these has led to the drastic increase in the crop production of the people .
