hello!
===========================================================
If something is squared, it's multiplied times itself 2 times.
Example:-
![\bigstar\boxed{\pmb{4*4=4^2}}\longleftarrow\sf{4~squared~}](https://img.qammunity.org/2023/formulas/mathematics/high-school/g130zczgptokp7vheyq80vz475scybh9xp.png)
You should also notice that the exponent of 4 is 2.
So if something is squared, its exponent is 2.
If something is cubed, it's multiplied times itself 3 times.
Example:-
![\bigstar{\boxed{\pmb{4*4*4=4^3}}\longleftarrow\sf{4~cubed}](https://img.qammunity.org/2023/formulas/mathematics/high-school/m0l8v6vnb8cyhslspsiwh36hjlhsjtah27.png)
You should also notice that the exponent of 4 is 3.
So if something is cubed, its exponent is 3.
