\Rightarrow \: \sf \: 4x + 8 - 2x + 7

Combine like terms


\rightarrow \: \sf \: ( 4x - \textcolor{green}{2}x) + (7 + \textcolor{green}{8})

Add 4x and 2x , 7 + 8


\rightarrow \sf \: 2x + 15
