The central idea in this passage is that the young people saw Adolph Hitler as an appealing source of power. The young believed that Hitler brought strength, hope and security as against the weakness, high rate of unemployment, insecurity, instability in government that have ravaged the land as an aftermath of the first world war . Young people turned down the criticism of their parents and stayed strongly behind Hitler.
