Before invading France, how did the allies target Germany to help out the Soviet Union ?

Answer:

The allies cut off supplies to Germany and axis powers. They then supplied arms and materials to allied powers through the "lend and lease" act and on a "cash-and-carry" basis. The allies then all surrounded Germany on all of its front's leaving it devestated and cut-off from resources. Germany did not have the men or resources to continue fighting in the war; all they could do was retreat.
