Paul spent 1/4 of his money on food and another 3/10 of his money on if he started with 5$ how much of his money is left ?

If you want to take the fraction of $5 it will be easier to have common denominators do this by multiplying 4 by 5 and 10 by 2 also do this to numerators your have the same fraction as the original. 1/20 of 5=5/20 which is .25 so we take .25 times 5 and .25 times 6 then add them. (1.25+1.50=2.75) then to find how much is left so take $5 - $2.74 which is 2.25 being the answer of $2.25. I hope this helped you understand.
