A prism has a volume 243 cubic meters. If it has a height of 3cm and its base is a square with the sides of (x+3)cm. Make an equation that best represent the volume of the prism

243000000 = (x+3)² × 3

x = 8997 cm or 89.97 m

Explanation:

Volume of a prism = Base area × height

Volume = 243m³ = 243×100³ cm³

Volume = 243000000 cm³

(Since the dimensions are in cm, I've converted the volume in cm³)

Base is a square: Base area = side²

The equation is:

243000000 = (x+3)² × 3

(x+3)² = 243000000 ÷ 3

(x+3)² = 81000000

If need to solve further,

(x+3) = 9000
