Explanation:

  • Step 1: Slope of the line, m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

Here, from the graph, x1 = -2, x2 = -4, y1 = 3, y2 = 8

⇒ m = (8 - 3)/(-4 - -2) = 5/-2 = -2.5
