Answer:

box of standard strawberries = 80

box of deluxe strawberries = 55

Explanation:

A box of standard strawberries = $7

A box of deluxe strawberries = $10.

Totalsale of 135 boxes = $1110.

Let box of standard strawberries = X and box of deluxe strawberries = Y

Number of boxes equation:

X + Y = 135

Price of boxes equation:

7X + 10Y = 1110

Solving the Equations simultaneously,

X = 135 - Y putting into,

7X + 10Y = 1110

7(135 - Y) + 10Y = 1110

945 - 7Y + 10Y = 1110

3Y = 165

Therefore, Y = 55

55 = 135 - X

X = 135 - 55

= 80.

Answer:

box of standard strawberries = 80

box of deluxe strawberries = 55

Explanation:

Given data:

A box of standard strawberries sells for $7

a box of deluxe strawberries sells for $10.

Total number of sells 135 boxes

total revenue of $1110.

Let box of standard strawberries be x

Let box of deluxe strawberries be y

x + y = 135 (equation 1)

7x + 10y = 1110 (equation 2)

These are now simultaneous equations

From equation 1

y = 135-x (equation 3)

Substituting equation 3 into equation 2

7x + 10(135-x) = 1110

7x + 1350 - 10x = 1110

7x -10x = 1110-1350

-3x = -240

x = 80

Substituting x into equation 3

y = 135 - x

y = 135 -80

y= 55
