Explanation:

-3x+7x can be simplified to 4x (subtract 3 from 7 since it's a negative)

then you get

4x = -2

From here, divide both sides by 4 to isolate the x

4x/4 = -2/4

Then you'd get

x = -2/4

or you can simplify that to

x = -1/2 or x = -0.5
