$\\ \rm\rightarrowtail x^2-2x+1=0$

$\\ \rm\rightarrowtail x^2-x-x+1=0$

$\\ \rm\rightarrowtail x(x-1)-1(x-1)=0$

$\\ \rm\rightarrowtail (x-1)(x-1)=0$

$\\ \rm\rightarrowtail x=1$
