If f(x) = 3x + 2 and g(x) = x^2– X, find each value.

A) g(36) = 1260

B) f(2) + 1 = 9

Solution:

Given that,


f(x) = 3x + 2\\\\g(x) = x^2-x

Find each value

A) g(36)

Substitute x = 36 in g(x)


g(36) = (36)^2 - 36\\\\g(36) = 1296-36\\\\g(36) = 1260

B) f(2) + 1

Substitute x = 2 in f(x)


f(2) + 1 = 3(2) + 2 + 1\\\\f(2) + 1 = 6 + 2 + 1\\\\f(2) + 1 = 9

Thus the values are found
