Answer: Insulin and glucagon

Step-by-step explanation:

Insulin and Glucagon are two hormones of the endocrine system which functions in a opposite way.

The function of the hormone insulin is to decrease the amount of sugar in the blood which increase after food. The amount of glucose in the blood 115-120 mg/dL. Lower than this level of glucose in blood triggers the insulin production.

Whereas, opposite to this hormone is the glucagon which decreases the level of sugar in the blood. The blood glucose level is goes below 115-120 mg/dL then the production of glucagon takes place in the body.

So one of the hormones is used to increase the blood sugar level and other is used to decrease the blood glucose level.

Answer:

insulin and glucagon

Step-by-step explanation:

Insulin and glucagon hormones are released by pancreas and are responsible for maintaining a constant level of glucose in the human blood. A stable glucose level in blood maintains the homeostasis. Both these hormones produces opposite effect to each other.

Insulin is released when the level of glucose in blood increases while glucagon is released when the level of glucose in blood decreases. On one hand insulin reduces absorption of glucose in bloodstream, glucagon on the other hand increases the absorption of glucose in bloodstream
