Hi there! So I have some homework that's asking me what 15.25 divided by 6 is. (I'm horrible at division. Lol) Can anyone help? It wants me to show my work, so.

Explanation:

Long division is taught a number of different ways. The method I learned is shown in the attachment. You can see that the dividend repeats, so the quotient digits will be repeating 6s.

You find a quotient digit (often, by trial and error), then subtract the result of multiplying that by the divisor. This gives a new dividend and the process starts over. Line up the digits so everything keeps the appropriate place value. (Neatness counts.)
