The height in feet of an arrow t seconds after it was shot into the air is given by the function: h(t)= -16t^2+288t+6

The arrow will hit the ground after _____ seconds. (Round to the nearest second)

-16t²+288t+6

use t=-b+/-√b²-4ac÷2a

t= -288+/-√288²-4(-16)(6)÷2a

2+/-√2580=0

2+√2580= 53 seconds 2-√2580= 49 seconds

the arrow will hit the ground after 53 seconds or 49 seconds
