For the multiplicative inverse of a real number, divide 1 by the number.

you turn the whole number into a fraction and then make the whole number the denominator.

Explanation

Ex. if the whole number is 5, you turn it into a fraction by putting it over 1 : 5/1. and then you flip the numerator to the denominator: 1/5
