Answer:

Kurt should set the oven at 246.1°C ⇒ C

Explanation:

The Fahrenheit scale and the Celsius scale are both used to measure temperature

  • The formula to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius is °C = (°F - 32) ×
    (5)/(9)
  • To change from Fahrenheit to Celsius insert the °F temperature measurement in the formula and then solve to find the result

∵ Kurt cookbook tells him to preheat his oven to 475°F

∴ °F = 475°F

∵ The oven is only marked in °C

- Change it by using the formula above

∵ °C = (475 - 32) ×
(5)/(9)

∴ °C = 443 ×
(5)/(9)

∴ °C = 246.11111

- Round it to the nearest tenth

∴ °C = 246.1°C

Kurt should set the oven at 246.1°C
