Answer:

  1. Get y alone; Move the 4x over to the right side...
  2. -y = 1 - 4x
  3. Divide by -1 to get the sign away from y...
  4. y = -1/1 + 4/1 x
  5. Simplify and reorder to fit y = mx + b format...
  6. y = 4x - 1
  7. The slope is 4x.
