How does Eric Foner describe the general worldview of the Native Americans? In what ways might Foner’s discussion help you understand the Penobscot creation story?

Answer:

The general worldview of the Native Americans seems very spiritual. The Native Americans believe in these higher beings and tell stories of Great Spirits coming and healing them or by sacrificing your life you will provide the tribe with many new goods. They view the world as sacred and treat the land with respect. The Native Americans had strong beliefs and followed those beliefs and followed those beliefs religiously.
