To find the slope of the line, use the slope formula (m is the slope):

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) And plug in the two points

(-4, 11) = (x₁, y₁)

(-2, 3) = (x₂, y₂)

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

m=(3-11)/(-2-(-4)) [two negative signs cancel each other out and become positive]

m=(3-11)/(-2+4)

m=(-8)/(2) Simplify

m = -4 Your answer is A
