Answer: she estimated U.S workers of today, are to work for "4 HOURS DAILY", to achieve the standard of living of 1948 U.S workers

Explanation: Juliet B. Schor is a professor in sociology at Boston college. She is an author of many books which includes "The overspent American", "The overworked American", and many more. She studied many topics like, the relationship between work and family, trends in working time, consumerism, and many more.

Juliet Schor in one of his popular book called "The overworked American: The unexpected decline of leisure" published in 24 March 1993. Sated that the way American work has increased so much that their don't care about their leisure or family, she stated in her book, that according to her research the working hours of workmen in America has increased to "one month per year" from what it use to be if traced down to 1946. That means a worker in the U.S today can only work for 4hours a day to be able to achieve the same comfort of 1946 workers.

NOTE: THIS BOOK WAS PUBLISHED IN 24th MARCH 1993, AND THE RECORD OF THE RESEARCH WAS IN 1993, THE WORKING HOURS MAY HAVE CHANGED IF A NEW RESEARCH IS CARRIED.
