In order to solve for this equation, we need to isolate 'x', or figure out a way to keep 'x' on one side.

First, divide both sides by 3. This will get rid of the '3' in '3(4x - 2)':

4x - 2 = 4

Add 2 to both sides:

4x = 6

Divide both sides by 4:

x = 6/4

Simplify:
x = 3/2

No. The answer would be 6 because even though PEMDAS is a thing you have to multiply 3 with 4 and -2. That is how you do 3x4 is 12x then 3x-2 would be -6. So 12x-6 x=6
