FC=8\ ft

Distance of house is
BC=16\ ft

We know angle of incident and angle of reflection is same therefore


\angle FEC=\angle CAB

thus
\tan \theta =(FC)/(EF)---1

Also
\tan \theta =(BC)/(AB)----2

From 1 and 2 we got


(FC)/(EF)=(BC)/(AB)


AB=(16* 6)/(8)


AB=12\ m
