In a college setting, if that’s what you’re asking most college students withdraw from school for multiple of reasons. A few being that they realize it’s harder than high school was, they realize school is “not for them” and decide to join the work force. They can become pregnant and/or starting a family. Some students may fail so many classes that they have no choice but to withdraw. Another reason may be that they cannot afford to pay for college. If a student attending a high school withdraws out it can be because they aren’t enjoying school and believe they can achieve a GED and join the work force instead of achieving a diploma. They also can become pregnant and withdraw and try to achieve their GED. Some students may have no choice and have over stayed their welcome due to failing so many times and no longer being able to go to the same high school.
