Long explanation for 4 9/14 - 2 6/7 + 8 5/6=

The answer is 10 13/21 but I can not get that.

Answer:

10 13/21

Explanation:

Convert mixed numbers into improper fractions

4 9/14 --> 65/14

2 6/7 --> 20/7

8 5/6 --> 53/6

Then calculate

65/14 - 20/7 + 53/6

Before that write it into a common denominator of 42

(195-120+371)/42

That would equal to 446/42

Divide it by 2

That would equal to 223/21

Then 223/21 = 10 13/21
