Explanation:

Remember the formula y=mx+b

mx being the slope and b being the y-intercept

the y-intercept is -9

and it you look at the graph and count the rise over run you get 4/1 which is 4x in the equation

some other things you might wanna know but is not very necessary for the equation is that the graph is positive and the x-intercept is 2.25.

I'm going to assume that you want to find the slope, y-intercept, and slope-intercept form of this line.

We can use the points (0, -9) and (1, -5).

Slope formula: y2-y1/x2-x1

= -5-(-9)/1-0

= 4/1

= 4 (slope)

The y-intercept is -9.

Now, we can write this in slope-intercept form.

y = mx + b

m = slope

b = y-intercept

Final equation:

y = 4x - 9
