Explanation:

Finding the absolute value of a number is just like finding the opposite of a word.

Sometimes absolute values can be the same thing. For Example

Absolute Value of | 23 | is 23 because it's already a postive number.

Absolute Value of | -44 | is 44 because your changing the number into a positive number.
