Answer = Red portion

Firstly, find out the area of the red portion (the area around the centre).

The three figures around the centre are trapeziums, so use the trapezium area equation.

a + b / 2 x h

4.5 + 5 = 9.5

9.5 / 2 = 4.75

4.75 x 1.5 = 7.125

As there are three trapeziums, times the area by 3.

7.125 x 3 = 21.375

Area of red portion = 21.375

Next, find out the area of the blue portion.

As the blue portion is in the centre and the figure at the centre is an equilateral triangle, use the equilateral triangle area equation.

root 3 / 4 x a^2

root 3 / 4 x 5^2 = 10.83 (rounded to 2 d.p)

Area of red portion = 21.375

Area of blue portion = 10.83

This means that the red portion has a greater area.

Hope this helps :)
