Answer:

b=100.7564103 approx

Explanation:

formula is

A=0.5*b*h

785.9=0.5*b*15.6

=b*7.8

Answer:

base ≈ 100.76 cm ( to 2 dec. places )

Explanation:

The area (A) of a triangle is calculated as

A =
(1)/(2) bh ( b is the base and h the height )

Here A = 785.9 and h = 15.6, thus

(1)/(2) × b × 15.6 = 785.9, that is

7.8b = 785.9 ( divide both sides by 7.8 )

b ≈ 100.76
