Answer:

March from Selma to Montgomery.

Step-by-step explanation:

The March from Selma to Montgomery led by Martin Luther King Jr on 25 March 1965 was an important human rights movement in the U.S history. It was a non-violent march which was joined by many people from different walks of life.

Students, men, women, spiritual leaders all joined this movement. It demanded to implement national voting rights for all without any discrimination. It demanded universal suffrage for the blacks in the U.S.

This landmark march was initiated to express discontentment among the blacks regarding voting privileges. It was found out that about only 2 percent of the total black voters were enlisted in the voting rolls. It was a very discouraging act against the black people.

Through this march, the movement pressurized President B.Johnson to pass new voting rights bill in the Congress. Thus, leading to the passage of the country's historic new voting rights bill of 1965.
