Answer:Meiosis 1 = 4.6 picogram

Meiosis2 = 2.3picogram

Step-by-step explanation:

There are four stages of a typical cell cycle.

The amount of DNA within a cell changes as it goes through these processes :

1. Fertilization

2. DNA synthesis

3.Mitosis

4. Meiosis

Let c = DNA content of the cell

Let n = number of complete set of chromosomes

Amount of DNA = 1c

Number of complete set of chromosomes =1n

During fertilization ,1 c and 1n doubles gives

1c × 2=2c

1(2n)= 2n

During DNA Replication

DNA content doubles to 4c but 2n remains the same

During mitosis ,it will receive 1/2 of the DNA content that is 4c/2 =2c

During meiosis, the 2n and 4c goes back to 2c in the first phase giving: 2× 2.3 = 4.6 picogram

In the 2nd stage ti goes back to 1c. 1× 2.3 = 2.3 picogram.

This is because each chromosomes pair divides during meiosis.
