A week after returning from a long holiday, you find that Tom, one of your team members, has been making many mistakes and has stopped communicating with the rest of the team. Many of the team members are personally concerned. What do you do

Answer:

The first thing I would do is make Tom feel like a team member again, by trying to encourage the team to show more love to Tom, because I believe Tom is going through some emotional depression, which had lead him to the unusual behaviour. The second thing to do is to approach Tom with love and understand what has made him depressed , I will try to counsel him on how to move on.

The third thing to do is to observe Tom and his attitude, if his depression persist, then a holiday leave should be given to him, to prevent him from causing more mistake, and to have more time to resolve the conflict within him.

Answer:

I would personally approach the team member who has been making many mistakes and highlight instances in which he/she has not been doing their job properly, and stopped communicating with the team; thereafter, I would ask if there are any challenges or problems they have been facing, and which areas the team could help so that their work can improve for the benefit of the entire team. In order to motivate or inspire, I would inform him/her about the importance of their work.
