Answer: 1. A) 2. C) 3. D) 4. C) 5. C)

Step-by-step explanation:

1. It is suggesting that the writer is voting for the first time because she is telling the readers that she was excited to get up early which is referring to that she will do something that she has not done before. This word is the most appropriate one because it is telling us that something is different that morning, and that difference is considering her first vote.

2. When she saw everything that she has to write down on the registration form, she realized that she does not know much about politics and political parties. That is why she decided to get more informed about everything. She called her sister and she was interested in it, she watched the TV news about politics and tried to found out something about it. The opinions were all different and by her behavior, we can tell that the main idea of it is to be fully informed about parties and the process.

3. Through the passage, we can see that she is using the order of importance while she is trying to realize what she will do. At first, it was important for her to vote and write down all the things she knew, but then when she realized that she does not know much about political parties it was the second important thing for her to find out.

4. We can tell that the narrator is interested in everything and that she enjoyed talking about politics. She wants to be well informed. She also does not listen to her parents at the table when they are talking bad things about politics. She wants to know more and more about it. That is why she is calling her sister, watching TV news and reading about it. If she was not interested in everything, she would not do it. She is also very excited because she will vote.

5. The author is showing the readers that she wants to become serious about her voting because she does not know much about politics. She does not listen to her parents and she is trying to find out more about political parties in order to realize what is the best thing to do. Through the passage, we can see that the narrator is doing all that she can in order to be educated and well informed about it.
