y=mx+b

Where m is the slope of the line

On Comparing we get


Slope = m1 = 2


Slope = m2 = (1)/(3)

So for the lines to be Perpendicular.

Product of slopes = - 1

m1 × m2 = -1

So Product of slopes of the given lines are


m1* m2=2* (1)/(3)=(2)/(3)

Which is not equal to -1

Therefore,


y=2x+6 and


6y=2x+9 are not Perpendicular.
