In two rolls, 219.8 square inches of wall she will paint

Solution:

Given that,

Jenny uses a roller to paint a wall

The roller has a radius of 1.75 inches and a height of 10 inches

We have to find the area of the wall that she will paint in two rolls

Find the lateral surface area of cylinder

A_L = 2 \pi r h

Where, "r" is the radius and "h" is the height

From given,

r = 1.75 inches

h = 10 inches

Substituting the values we get,

A_L = 2 * 3.14 * 1.75 * 10\\\\A_L = 6.28 * 1.75 * 10\\\\A_L = 109.9

Thus lateral surafce area is 109.9 square inches

For two rolls,

Area = 2 x 109.9 = 219.8

Thus in two rolls, 219.8 square inches of wall she will paint
