My sling shot shoots pellets at 50m/s. Find two angles of elevation that can be used to hit a target 65m away. (Assume air resistance is negligible. Assume the gravitational constant ????=10m/s2 for this problem.)

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

velocity of launch
u=50\ m/s

Target is
R=65\m\ away

Suppose
\theta is the launch angle

We know Range of Projectile is

R=(u^2\sin 2\theta )/(g)

65=(50^2* \sin 2\theta )/(9.8)

\sin 2\theta =0.254

because
\sin \theta =\sin (180-\theta )

so either
2\theta =14.71

\theta =7.35^(\circ)

or
180-2\theta =14.71

\theta =82.64^(\circ)
