Therefore,

`Husband = (1)/(3)x`

Find the remaining

`Remaining = x - (x)/(3) = (3x-x)/(3) = (2x)/(3)`

1/4 of the cookies to her son

Therefore,

`son = (1)/(4) * (2x)/(3) = (x)/(6)`

Now again find the remaining

`Remaining = (2x)/(3) - (x)/(6) = (x)/(2)`

1/6 of a cookies to her neighbor

`Neighbor = (1)/(6) * (x)/(2) = (x)/(12)`

Now again find the remaining

`Remaining = (x)/(2) - (x)/(12) = (5x)/(12)`
