There are 40 tourist class passengers and 12 first class

Explanation:

Let

x ---> the number of tourist class passengers

y ---> the number of first class passengers

we know that

the flight had 52 passengers

so


x+y=52 ----> equation A

The passengers paid $1,360

so


25x+30y=1,360 ----> equation B

Solve the system by graphing

Remember that the solution is the intersection point both graphs

using a graphing tool

the solution is the point (40,12)
