A square always adds up to 360 degrees. Keeping this in mind, we have to create an equation to get the answer.

66 + 66 + y + y = 360

Add.


132+y^(2) =360

Get the variable to one side.


y^(2) =228

Now divide by 2 so you can have it for both missing angles.

y = 114

The reason for two y's in the equation we created is because there are two missing angles. To prove it is a parallelogram you need to find both angles. To prove the equation you can add up all of the angles.

opposite angles of a parallelogram are congruent, and all of its angles add to 360°. so subtract 66 twice from 360 to get 228° remaining for the two last angles. since they have to be congruent, they are equal to 228/2, which is 114. they must both equal 114°
