Solution:

The formula for area of parallelogram is:

Area = base * height

From given,

$Base = 1(1)/(2)\ feet = (2 * 1 + 1)/(2) = (3)/(2)\ feet$

$Height = 6\ inches$

Convert feet to inches

1 feet = 12 inches

$(3)/(2)\ feet = (3)/(2) * 12\ inches = 18\ inches$

Therefore, area of parallelogram is:

$Area = 18 * 6\\\\Area = 108$

Thus area of parallelogram is 108 square inches
