Let suppose base is 10-Y ( Y=3 which is line opposite to Base as shown in figure). Now extend line from side Y of size 3 to Base.It will hit base at 10-Y.

Then new rectangle will be formed in which length and width will be 6 and 3 respectively. So newly formed right angle triangle perpendicular will be same of 6 value as shown in figure.

Now apply Pythagoras theorem in which base and perpendicular will be 7 and 6 respectively.


Hyp^(2) =Base^(2) +Perp^(2)2

x^2 =
7^(2) +6^(2)

x^2 = 49+36

x^2 = 85

x =
sqrt{85

x = 9.2154
