Answer:

y=-3x+7

Explanation:

The slope of the line passing through the points (3,-2) and (1,4) is

(4-(-2))/(1-3)=(4+2)/(-2)=(6)/(-2)=-3

Hence, the equation of the line is

y-(-2)=-3(x-3)

Rewrite it:

y+2=-3x+9\\ \\y=-3x+9-2\\ \\y=-3x+7

The last equation is the slope-intercept equation of linear function.
