The equation used to find the cost of student ticket is:

13x + 3.50 + 3x + 18.50 = 50

Solution:

Given that,

A teacher brings $50 to pay for museum admission

She buys an adult ticket for $3.50 and 13 student tickets

Cost of adult ticket = $ 3.50

Let "x" be the cost of each student ticket

Three students arrive late so she buys 3 more student tickets

She has $18.50 left

The equation used to find the cost of student ticket is:

Cost of adult ticket + 13 student tickets x cost of each student ticket + 3 student ticket x cost of each student ticket = 50 - 18.50

3.50 + 13x + 3x = 50-18.50\\\\13x + 3.50 + 3x + 18.50 = 50

Thus the above equation is used
