-2x+y=4............(2)

Making y as subject in (2)

y = 2x + 4.......(3)

Substituting (3) into (1)

3x - 6(2x + 4) = -6

3x - 12x - 24 = -6

-9x = -6 + 24

-9x = 18

x = 18/-9

x = -2

Substitute x = -2 into (3)

y = 2x + 4

y = 2(-2) + 4

y = -4 +4

y = 0
