Answer:

Number of newspaper distributed = 250

Explanation:

Given:

A graph with linear increment in points.

Lets choose two points from the graph in (x,y) co-ordinate.

From the graph we see that:

For second month there are 200 newspaper distributed by the school.

For the fourth month there are 300 newspaper distribution.

Points in co-ordinate.

(x,y)=(2,200) and
(x_1,y_1) = (4,300)

Using point slope form.

Slope (m) =
(y_1-y)/(x_1-x)

(m) =
(300-200)/(4-2)

(m) =
(100)/(2)

(m) = 50

As the point are linear.

We can say that it will follow slope -intercept form: y=mx+b

Plugging the values,of
(x,y)= (2,200) in the slope -intercpt form we will find the y-intercept (b) value.

b = y-m(x)

b=200-50(2)

b=200-100

b=100

For third month the 'x' co-ordinate will be 3 and y-cordinate is the number of newspaper distributed.

Plugging the values of x=3, m=50 and b=100

y=m(x)+b

y=50(3)+100

y=150+100

y=250

Number of school newspaper distributed in third month = 250 .
