Answer:

y=9x+41

Explanation:

Given line equation as:

4y-36x=16

Passing through the point (-4,5)

Solution:

First we convert given line equation in standard form.

4y-36x=16

4y=36x+16

Divided by 4 both side of the equation.

y = 9x+4

So, slope of the above line by comparing with
y = mx+b

m = 9

Using point slope formula.

y - y_(1)=m(x-x_(1))

We know that the slope of the parallel is same.

Plug in m = 9 and Point
P(x_(1), y_(1)) = P(-4, 5) in above formula.

y - 5=9(x-(-4))

y - 5=9(x+4)

y - 5=9x+36

y=9x+36+5

y=9x+41

Therefore, The equation of the parallel line is
y=9x+41
