2x - 7y = -37

-7y = -2x - 37

y = 2/7x + 37/7......so we have a slope of 2/7

a perpendicular line will have a negative reciprocal slope. All that means is flip the slope and change the sign.

slope 2/7.....flip it.....7/2...change the sign...-7/2.

so a perpendicular line will have a slope of -7/2 <==
